LittleStars Rugby is a fully inclusive welsh based weekly children's play programme for children between the ages of 2-7, which helps to develop a child's key motor skills as well as their physical and social development.

LittleStars Rugby sessions have been specially designed by educational professionals and focus on building a child's confidence through positivity, teamwork and fair play.

Our vast range and variety of rugby based games, drills and skill based activities ensure that all children have lots of fun while also learning new skills.

The classes are divided into 4 groups: 2-3 (TinyStars) 4-5 (MiniStars) 6-7 (MegaStars) 8-11 (SuperStars)

All classes are differentiated so as to ensure that children of all abilities are well catered for and are able to develop their skills at their own pace.

LittleStars Rugby Sessions

All LittleStars Rugby sessions follow a set structure and are led by qualified and enhanced C.R.B checked coaches. All sessions are underpinned by the following values:

fun, fair play, positivity, teamwork, learning and the development of new skills.

The sessions can be broadly broken down as follows:

2-3 (TinyStars)

The sessions for our youngest Stars 'TinyStars' are based on learning 'Rugbybasics' such as 'pass/catch', scoring a try, running with the ball and kicking at goal. TAG rugby games are used to encourage the children to develop positive parent- child participation, while taking place in a fun and stimulating manner. Experience has proven that even the youngest children can make rapid improvements in their basic skills with just a few weeks of regular attendance.

4-5 (MiniStars)

The Ministars classes build on the foundations laid in our early years classes, by aiming to further develop the children's social development skills such as teamwork, and co-ordindination. Our coaches begin to introduce basic rugby related skills, such as punting the ball, spin passing, evasion games as well as TAG rugby and aim to develop these skills over the course of the year.

6-7 (MegaStars)

In the junior classes our coaches look to develop basic technical skills while always maintaining a positive, fun and stimulating environment. Examples of the skills introduced at this level are 2 on 1s, and spin passing the ball in small groups. We also look to develop an understanding of Rugby League and have  specially designed Rugby  TAG games which are run during sessions.

On completion of the term, all children receive a certificate which documents all the key skills learnt during the term. Additionally, all our coaches are assessed on a regular basis, to ensure that the highest standards of teaching and coaching are taking place.
